My baby girl has seizures

This is hard to talk about. I recently had my first child and at 9 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days my darling baby girl had her first seizure. When i went to the doctor about this they recommend a Benzo to help control the frequency of her seizures. I have never been a huge fan of prescription drugs before, but this is my baby girl, my princess, the light of my life. Is there any alternative for my daughter? I am scared for her life please help me.
