We understand that it may be hard to come forward to ask for help while living in such a fast-paced town like Oceanside which is why we recommend you travel for treatment. It does not have to serve as a permanent relocation. You're just skipping town for a few weeks to work on bettering your situation regarding your drug addiction or alcoholism. Chances are that everyday situations are driving you toward using substances to relive stress and pain. If you travel for rehab, you will get away from all that while learning about other ways to relieve stress.

How Do I Hold an Intervention for Someone?

Seeing a loved one struggle with an addiction can be hard. Knowing your loved one is slowly killing themselves with harmful chemicals can cause anxiety for you. A good way to show them that people care about them and want to see them recover from their addiction is to have an intervention for them. An intervention is a great way to show your loved one that their addiction is taking a toll on more than just them and that they need to get help before they end up dead.

In an intervention, go around the room and have each person read a prepared statement to the addict. Use specific examples of how the addict's drug or alcohol use has affected their relationships. Do not criticize the addict, just let them know that everyone has gathered there to support them getting help. Addicts often times do not ask friends and family for help because they are scared they will negative vibes for it.

Why Wait?

Contact us if you need help selecting a rehab facility. We will walk you through how to go about picking a center that will fit all of your needs. If you are willing to travel for treatment, we will also give you a list of places in other states and cities. You do not have to fight your addiction alone any longer.

Sober life might not be easy but it is possible if you have strong support group by your side. Consider attending AA and NA meeting regularly to help build relationships with other recovering addicts and alcoholics. Meeting with people who understand your situation can give you a huge sigh of relief because you will always have someone to share things with. Most of the time everyday stresses can act as triggers towards an addiction so it good to know that people who understand you can help you cope with those stresses. Meetings take place every day of the week.
