What If My Intervention Didn't Work?

If you have a loved one who I suffering from a substance abuse problem, you might have to step in to hold an intervention. If held an intervention and it was unsuccessful, hold another. It is not uncommon for someone to need multiple wakeup calls. Do not give up on your loved one, they might just be waiting to know people still care about them.

Make sure to use specific examples of how the addict's actions have negatively affected their life. You are not gathering to attack the addict so that they feel even worse about themselves.

You are gathering to show support and express concern. The main goal of an intervention is to get your loved one to agree to go to rehab.
