Searching for Substance Abuse Treatment Centers in Missoula, MT

Missoula is the second largest city in Montana, with just over 71,000 residents. Situated along Clark Fork River, Missoula is often referred to as "œhub of five valleys" because of its location near the convergence of five mountain ranges.

This active community in the Northern Rockies takes pride in their national forest and boasts about their numerous recreational outdoor activities. Check out the mountain biking trails or cruising around town as Missoula has been dubbed the bike-friendly city.

Missoula is a college town, housing the University of Montana main campus, and is generally considered the cultural center of Montana. Pedestrian friendly for walking and biking, beautiful buildings, and unique eaters; this active town has everything you need.

The disease of addiction devastates people from all walks of life. This cunning, baffling and powerful disease claims the life of far too many Americans each year. For those stuck in the vicious cycle of addiction, life becomes a living hell. Fear of running out and constantly looking for where to find your next supply is no way to live. If this describes you, there is a way out and a life free of drugs and alcohol is possible.

Give us a call and get started living a life better than you imagine. Call (866) 578-7471.

When Should I Stage an Intervention?

If you are concerned about a loved one, stage an intervention as soon as possible. Far too many people die from the disease of addiction every day to wait.

An intervention is a conversation where the person is confronted about his or her using and behavior. Often, the person who is using does not realize how his or her behavior affects others. This a loving and non-judgmental way of communicating concern and emphasizing the need for change. It shows you care while making clear that the situation cannot continue as is and the person needs to cease his or her abuse of substances. Usually, an intervention includes a recommendation to enter an addiction treatment center.

Whatever the outcome of the intervention, by staging the event you give the person a nudge in the right direction and it very well may be what saves his or her life.

Learning to live without drugs or alcohol can be difficult, but it is possible and probably easier than you may think. 12-step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous prove the best way of treating the disease of addiction. Everyone is encouraged to find a sponsor, work the 12-steps and attend meetings regularly. Getting involved in a sober community is critical to continued sobriety. The love, support and guidance you will get from your sponsor and fellow group members will allow you to overcome all obstacles that life throws your way. If you are struggling with substance abuse, find a meeting in your area today and get connected to those who can help save your life.
