Where Should I Withdrawal?

Detoxification is best done in a rehab center or a medical facility where they can monitor your vitals and make sure that you have everything you need for a safe withdrawal. Withdrawal from drugs and/ or alcohol is often times unpleasant and has the potential of fatality. The most common withdrawal symptoms often include, vomiting, restlessness, sleep disturbances, and excessive sweating. These symptoms may not seem like much, but these are only a few of the symptoms.

Withdrawal is uncomfortable and potentially harmful to your overall mental and physical health. Getting detoxification for withdrawal under medical care will give you a place to withdrawal safely and more comfortably. Detox and rehab facilities often offer medication management for detox symptoms, which can make the process much easier for an individual going through withdrawal.

What does Rehab Offer?

Most rehab centers provide care for the physical portion of recovery, as well as, the psychological portion. The physical portion of rehab is often the detox stage. During the detox stage individuals getting cleared of addictive substances in their body will experience withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms are often uncomfortable, however in getting medical care the severity of withdrawal symptoms declines.

Once detox is over, the individual will immediately step into another treatment stage that includes therapeutic services. Therapeutic services often include counseling in an individual, group and family setting. If you need to locate a rehabilitation center in Portsmouth, VA or anywhere else in the country, we can help you. We want you to get free from addiction and will help you in whatever way we can (866) 578-7471.
