Getting Back to Normal from Apex
Apex, North Carolina is an ideal place to raise a family. This small city is home to about 43,000 people. In 2015, Apex, North Carolina was ranked No. 1 in Money Magazine's Best Places to Live.
But just because it was the best place to live does not meant that it is immune to drug addiction and alcoholism. Substance abuse problems run wild in cities all over the country looking to kill at any chance they get. Partying on the weekends or relieving a rough day at work seems harmless. But anytime you use drugs or alcohol with any regularity, there is a chance you can develop a chemical dependency.
If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired because of your addiction, then give us a call at (866)578-7471. We can have someone help you get started in the recovery process. There are thousands of reason why you are telling yourself not to call, we get it. There is only one reason why you should call, to save your own life.
Prescription Drugs on the Attack
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) reported that 52 million Americans have used prescription drugs for non-medical reasons at some point in their life. That high number is scary. NIDA also concluded that 6.1 million of those people have abused prescription drugs in the last month. Many people use prescription drug over heroin or cocaine because they think it is a safer alternative. But it is not. Prescription drugs can do just as much damage as street drugs.
In 2010, 8.76 million people admitted to using prescription drugs for non-medical reasons. 54.2 percent of prescription drug abusers claim that they get their fix from a friend or relative for free. Too many people have access to prescription drug which makes them easy to disrepute.
Don't Be Another Death Stat
NIDA reported that in 2010 there were 38,329 deaths due to drug overdoses. That was more than the number of people who died in traffic accidents that year. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that 105 people in the US die every day from a drug overdose.
Hopefully these climbing numbers will help someone realize that they need help. Do not feel alone, you are obviously not the only one having a hard time with substance abuse. Do not become another death stat. You can get the help you need by calling us today.
We will not give up on you so do not give up on yourself.
