Should I Travel for Treatment?
Traveling to another city or state to attend rehab is a great way to fight back against your addiction. Break away from the habits and triggers which push you to use dangerous chemicals every day. When you are far away from all the stress and drama in your life you will be able to realize that living a happy and sober is possible.
Removing yourself from a bad situation is the only to fully recover from that situation. You need separation from the people and situations that enable you to use substances on a regular basis. It is not easy to graduate from rehab. But so many people have done it already to prove that it is possible.
Many people who have years sobriety will recommend that AA and NA meetings are helpful. These meetings are conducted by the 12-step community to allow those in recovery to connect with one another.
