Absolutely worst hospital you could ever send someone to. I don’t know if the people working here even have degrees? You tell them all the information they would possibly need and their social services case manager can’t even figure out how to do her job. This place NEEDS to be shut down.

It is amazing to be given the privilege of watching people come at some the roughest times of their lives and invest themselves in treatment and transform back into the version of themselves that they were before. As a Mayhill staff member, I know that absolutely every member of the staff are there for one thing only.... To help people get themselves back on the right track. And as far as a work place, fellow staff members are like family. We strive to better one another for the sake of the patients everyday and the sense of accomplishment that I get from not only the patients but my coworkers is something I've never experienced anywhere else.

The techs are what make this place. Matt and haven in particular are my favorite. But they were the shiznit and I hope they know that not every review is bad. Also asylums aren’t like American horror story, they want to give you the tools to help yourself.

When I went in for a screening or whatever the doctor (rachel I remember her name still) lied to the doctors and told them I was suicidal when I never said I had even thought about suicide. They want your money so bad that they will lie, the doctor assigned to you only shows up every few days and he is your only hope of getting out. The doctor is actually how I found out that Rachel lied about my mental health. Very corrupt place. At least some of the care takers and nurses are nice. They also doubled my dosage of anti depressant which I was supposed to be off of because it was makings. Me manic. So they just made me worse off than when I came in and then released me. Terrible place, I still have nightmares often about going back there.
