I wish I could give 0 stars. I would. Esthetically a very nice looking place. But looks can be deceiving. This place is nothing more than another $hithole of a place that simply masquerades the most inhumane, insurance fraudulent, and poor care, masquerading as a "Leader in the field of addiction", hiding behind a well written Mission Statement. The staff is over-worked, underpaid, and the bullying starts at the top, trickles downhill. But the buck stops at the counseling level. So, the counselors are left to manage as best they can with not just the toxins that cone from working with mostly Mica patients. But, even worse...... working around colleagues and superiors who are more sick than the clients they service! Patients have a valid reason for their anti-social behavior, which is supported by the "DSM 6". What's the excuse of the so-called professionals? The recidivism rate is unbelievable. They actually pay marketers (or drivers) to go to neighborhood locations to pick up potential clients and shuttle them to their program. And the place is a revolving door. Cookie cutter treatment. The clients have a system. The come in the day after they've blown their SSI or public assistance. Or, they come in several days before their Check comes. The day their check hits the system, they leave against medical ir clinical advice. As soon as they've blown their money. They repeat the cycle. Oftentimes, counselors will refer patients to one of cornerstones treatment facilities simply to fill a bed, rather than referring a patient to a program that better suits their needs. Most cases, a patient is clearly in need of a referral to a long term residential facility, which Cornerstone does not own. So, this revolving door of a treatment center is merely a shelter for addicts in dire need of residential treatment. Why continually make a referral to outpatient or a 28 day rehab, when clearly the patient is in need of a higher level of care, evidenced by several failed attempts at rehab. I honestly don't believe most facilities want their clients to succeed. After all there's far more money in repeat clients or recidivism clients. There's very little money in success! Yes. Sadly, they get rich off the client who comes into treatment 15- 20x a year! Medicaid fraud and corruption at the highest level. But there's a God who sits high and looks low! Patronize this place at your own risk. Ask me "How do I kmow so much"? I'm a former employee. And I've witnessed the above first handed! Anyone struggling with substance use disorder.....Get acquainted or reacquainted with God, attend self-help meetings, and get into therapy. Resolve the underlying unresolved issues that causes you to seek self-medication to begin with! More importantly, learn to say "No Thank you " to the FIRST DRINK, or the first whatever is holding you from truly reaching your fullest potential! Recovery and/or sobriety is very possible, and within your grasp!Teddy P. Former Addictions Counselor
