Subutex (Buprenorphine) is a prescription Opioid (Narcotic) used to treat Narcotic addiction by decreasing dependence through the withdrawal symptoms. Subutex is one of the two main components of Suboxone and is usually prescribed if a patient is having adverse reactions to Suboxone Though the potential for abuse is reduced by the fact that a tolerance is easily developed at a moderate dosage, it is often abused in conjunction with other substances (such as alcohol and benzodiazepines) to induce a stronger high from the other substances. Visit the Subutex Page for more information.
