Suboxone is a prescription Opioid (Narcotic) used to treat Narcotic addiction by decreasing dependence through the withdrawal stages. Suboxone consists of a combination between Buprenorphine (relieves the symptoms of withdrawal) and Naloxone (a Narcotic that reverses the effects of other Narcotics). Though intended to help throughout the process of withdrawal and recovery, the physical withdrawal symptoms from Suboxone itself can be extremely powerful, making it highly addictive. Visit the Suboxone Page for more information.
