About this Facility
SELF-RECOVERY LLC, was opened in September of 2005 by Tommy Moore, NCAC I, C.E.O., to meet the growing need for substance abuse detoxification.By 2009, we realized that we would need to open a second unit in order to meet the growing demands of the victims of substance abuse. On February 1, 2009 we opened our 1st unit in Northern Alabama. In July of 2010, we moved from our home location in York, Alabama, to a more centralized location at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis, Alabama. In June of 2014, we opened our first unit outside of the state of Alabama. Self-Recovery now has a unit at Southampton Memorial Hospital, in Franklin, Virginia. Self-Recovery is excited to take our services wherever there is a need!Self-Recovery was opened because we understand the struggle of addiction and the addict who still suffers. We, as the staff at Self-Recovery, believe that with proper treatment the disease of addiction can be placed in remission, allowing the individual to regain their self respect, dignity and control of their life. The Staff of Self-Recovery believes in treating each person as an individual, with dignity and respect. We understand that addiction is a life threatening disease, and that if left untreated will result in death. We also understand that recovery is possible! We never give up hope for the patient, even when a patient themselves has exhausted all hope. We give each patient the necessary tools to succeed in their recovery. The greatest reward that we as a staff receive is when we hear back from a patient who has completed the program and is living a sober life of recovery.

Tommy Morris a lifelong friend I have known him since grammar school probably 40 years. Recently I had an alcohol problem and I said some bad things to him that made him mad. He turned his back on me even though he owns self recovery detox. His father bought the company for him in high school he was a hitchhiker in the military he was a deserter and received a dishonorable discharge . Always seems to care about is the $3,800 Medicaid pays for a person's 10-day hospital stay. There's nothing for his lifelong friends. The people that work at self recovery like you're really nice but the owner Tommy Moore is a real turd who lives in Honduras with his gay boyfriend after abandoning his wife
