The people at Border Region treat Linda with much respect. Everyone is always so nice. Yes the wait time can be long sometimes but there are so many people to be seen by so few.... thank you all for you help!

One of the most important things for any person living with a mental illness is to regularly take their medication and have a strong support network. Unfortunately, this place doesn't help much with those two things. More than once, I've had weeks-long delays in obtaining my medication. Each time, I've struggled to get clear answers and been made to feel like it was my fault, when it was their lack of timely communication with my insurance that led to that problem in the first place.Another issue is that there's no consistency in who you speak to, whether it be doctors or case workers. I understand there are other patients and crises to attend to, but there doesn't seem to be any communication among them either. I'm often forced to repeat my story to a stranger each time I visit and on some occasions, been treated rudely by counselors or other people meant to help me. At times, I've cried openly after waiting hours only to hear snide remarks about my circumstances or spoken to as if I'm at fault for my illness.Overall, my treatment here really makes me feel like I don't matter to them, and that I'm just another number they're trying to get out the door. I don't know if anybody at Border Region actually reads these reviews, but perhaps if they did, there would be less people in my shoes.
