New Horizons of the Treasure Coast Reviews, Complaints, Cost & Price - ,

New Horizons of the Treasure Coast ,

Facility Rating:

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. This is a state run facility so of course it's bare bones. The counseling is top notch which is what it's all about and your going to get what you put into it. If your looking for massages and yoga then go elsewhere but if you want counselors who care and who are former addicts who understand the process then look no further. I was there 2 years ago and still say this was one of the best experiences of my life

About New Horizons of the Treasure Coast

New Horizons of the Treasure Coast was created in 1958 by community members who passionately believed that quality mental health services should be available to all in need on the Treasure Coast. From its first location in Vero Beach, New Horizons has expanded to serve residents in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties, with its main campus on Midway Road in Fort Pierce. More than 50 years after its founding, New Horizons continues to work hard to fulfill the vision of its founders.

offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adults and children, crisis units for adults and children, learning resource centers for independent living skills, a transitional group home, a primary care clinic, substance abuse and detox services, case management, family support and counseling, and programs in schools and with law enforcement agencies. New Horizons provides a safety net for those in crisis, outreach programs to promote resilience and recovery, and community education to help our community achieve health in both mind and body.

I was here two separate times for extended periods of time. I hated it at first because I wasn't there by will. But the Staff & Consulers were so nice and caring but they won't baby you they will ride your butt till you get better. They really know what they are doing and taught me so much about self worth. I honestly love the staff there. The buliding is so nice & they pride themselves into keeping it nice and clean.

Okay first of let me tell you about my 'fun time' at new horizons. Ive been there about 12 times and let me just say its probably the stupidest place ive ever been. So in reality it was pretty darn lit if i do say so myself. So there art class. Is pretty ?? the lady pissed me off but its cool. She let me hit people with balls to bring out my anger. Bs if you ask me. I wanted to hit her with a ball. Oooo and dont get me started on the kids. This one girl was schyso and got out in a week. Tf i was there for a couple weeks at a time. Oh and i told them i was gonna burn in hell . Peace folks thats all for today 😉

I'm a former client of New Horizons Independence Recovery of the Treasure Coast. To put it simply... I owe my life to this facility and the Saints who are employed there. The level of care far surpasses any high dollar treatment center. The Counsler Assistants are truly passionate about Recovery and speak from their very own experiences. The Detox staff is just as equally part of the miracle that happens there everyday!!!! Thank You All for my new life!!
