Some particular professional fields are thought to be more likely to contribute to substance abuse disorders than others. Whatever your profession, you may want to attend a program with others in professional fields.

Communication and relating to others within your group can boost your recovery and chances of staying abstinent exponentially. If you have nothing in common with those in the treatment program you attend, the process may seem more difficult to grasp or foreign.
