When I first entered the SUD treatment industry I fell in love! It felt like a calling and became a passion. I was very fortunate to work with brilliant, caring, and respectful co-workers but the industry became volatile. Owners were opening up centers with the bottom line in mind and forgetting that these are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters LIVES! Treatment Centers began to look more like marketing companies than treatment companies. Client care was forgotten. The industry in general, NOT ALL, went from helping others to owners helping themselves and their bank accounts. The love I felt, the passion and the calling that drove me began to dim in my soul...til now! Mitchell D. Baumann has reinvigorated my calling and my passion.
