Women’s Recovery Services (WRS), located at 98-140 Hendley Street in Santa Rosa, California, is a specialized alcohol and drug treatment program offering both short-term and long-term residential care, along with sober living support. Our mission is to provide women and their children with a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where recovery can begin and thrive.At WRS, we recognize that addiction is a complex, treatable illness—physical, emotional, and spiritual in nature. Our treatment approach is abstinence-based and incorporates health care, mental health support, and trauma-informed care as part of the recovery process. We also believe addiction is a family disease, which is why we extend our services to address the needs of children and family members, creating a foundation for lasting recovery.We serve women from diverse backgrounds, including those with dual diagnoses or co-occurring disorders, women living with HIV/AIDS, pregnant or postpartum women, mothers with children, and criminal justice clients. Treatment is individualized, with each woman assigned a case manager to guide her through the process. Our structured daily programming includes evidence-based education and groups focused on self-esteem, trauma recovery, parenting skills, relationships, and communication.Unique to WRS is our Children’s Program, staffed by a Child Care Provider and Parenting Educator, which allows mothers to fully participate in treatment while their children receive care and support. Mothers and children live together on-site, reinforcing bonds while developing healthy life skills.Upon completing the 120-day residential program, graduates receive ongoing aftercare support, including weekly groups for up to a year. To celebrate their achievement of one year of sobriety and continued aftercare participation, WRS honors women with a special candlelight ceremony attended by peers, family, and friends.WRS accepts private health insurance and self-payment, and we remain dedicated to breaking the cycle of addiction by empowering women and their families to live healthy, independent, and purposeful lives.
