I've had a couple friends in here. I'm glad they had a place to come and stay. The few family therapy sessions I attended were terrible! When someone is trying to heal, they need to be uplifted, not beat down. This facility needs to work on that. Staff needs better education and have a bit of compassion. Making someone's life better is what you need to strive for.

I drank and took over the counter meds for 35 years. It nearly destroyed me. I lost my wife and two kids through divorse, and then became homeless for a few months before finding the VOA.... VOA saved my life!! VOA showed me the doors to open for recovery. It wasn't easy. Tons of therapy classes and AA. After a two year in-house treatment plan, I am now six years clean! I am now enjoying my life and very proud of who I have become. THANK-YOU VOA!!! I am forever grateful.
