About this Facility
Seadrunar is a long-term residential drug and alcohol treatment facility offering new hope and a fresh start in life to men and women struggling with addiction.
Founded in 1968, Seadrunar was the first drug treatment facility in the Northwest, and remains one of the most effective today, providing long term, intensive behavior modification addiction treatment services in a therapeutic community to more than 8,000 clients over the last four decades.
At Seadrunar’s Seattle facilities, men, women, and their children find a safe haven and the support they need. In addition to a residential treatment center with a home-like feeling, Seadrunar includes a nurturing childcare center for clients entering the program with their children. There is a beautiful park next door with walking trails and a basketball court, and for the children, an elementary school is right across the street.
Seadrunar also offers a unique opportunity to learn supervisory and general job skills and responsibilities at its own Seadrunar Recycling business, which was established in 1979 to provide clients with a work therapy environment.

This Rehab saved my life. I spent 3 years inpatient. I learned to be an adult here and learned to be a decent human being. I completed all phases. Nan Busby was the director, Steve Neff was my counselor at Georgetown 1st Phase. I came out of there solid as a rock.

I am a 1983 graduate of SeaDruNar. Nan Brown was the Director at the time and Mike Hatfield was the Sr. Counselor. I learned to grow up here. My life was on a dead end mission and I was determined to follow it to it's inevitable end. But I found out that as broken and messed up as we can be, there are people out there who still care and care with a vengeance! I can't remember how many signs I wore or how many pullups I received but I do know that I made it, joined the Navy, saw the world, got married and had 4 beautiful children... Thanks Nan... Thanks SeaDruNar... I only hope I can repay you some day. Chris
