Dont come here. They mess with you while you sleep. The purposefully give you strong sleeping meds and mess with you and do stuff to you while you are sleeping.

They turn away my daughter because we had inc. When we called they said you don't have to have inc. But I hope they can help someone, but turn away someone in need of help,

Terrible place don’t go … ever. For one I can never get a hold of my significant other that’s there and when I went they kicked me off the premises, completely disgusted with this place. Any place rated under 3 stars shouldn’t be recommended for anyone!

I went to this facility for help with numerous things. Some staff was negative, not understanding at all, and insensitive. BUT the staff that are there and treat us like "somebody" definitely outweigh the bad. I am so thankful for the treatment I received.

So this was my 2nd time going into this Program, and the 1st time around I came in Pretty late at night and I went through the intake process changed out, and then was told that I could not stay because I was not deemed being in crisis, even though I was detox ing from opiates during the process the whole time . Decided to try again and came back a couple days later and was admitted . When I asked them about why was denied before nobody could tell me and there was nothing written down on any kind of paper work. So the program itself and the staff along with the doctors are great but going through intake is just awful. You are made to sit in these recliner Chairs for 1 to 3 days And you are not allowed to Do anything other than sit there and sleep and watch TV if you're lucky enough to be near it. I would not recommend this to anyone And if you're able to go to one of the neighboring facilities like freedom house and Chapel Hill.

I had recently relocated from California to recuperate from a very traumatic year. My plan was to stay with my niece. That lasted three weeks before I had to leave. Now I found myself homeless in a part of the country I knew nothing about. After spending a few days sleeping outside in downtown Raleigh I could feel my mental and physical health suffering. I am 66 and the shock of so suddenly becoming homeless was unbearable. I went to WakeMed and told them I was having a mental health crisis and was NOT suicidal. Their reaction was basically come back when you are really in crisis. In other words we can help you once you really want to kill yourself.I then made it to the Durham Recovery Response center and when I told them the same thing they welcomed me in. I stayed there for a few days and was able not only to deal with the shock, but find a place to live I could afford on my SSA.So I want to sincerely thank the staff. And I especially want to thank Dave for your professionalism, care and commitment to helping others.

The staff is completely unprofessional. This is a recovery response center where mental health should be a priority. Although, when you call to speak to them, they are short and inadequate at their jobs. They lack information and clearly show you they do not care about their patients nor family members of the patients. The hiring process should be more efficient to find employees who are happy to work there.

Took my brother there TODAY, FOR HELP! for me to get a call once I got back to Goldsboro for him to tell me, the facility couldn't help him. He was upset by that time who wouldn't be. A couple of factors went into play here. When I called even with the code he gave staff and myself while I was there, the staff didn't want to speak to me.When I did speak to a staff member after I called a couple of times the man didn't have any answers to my questions. What is the need of the code because he caught himself giving out info before I gave it. Yes I caught that too. How did he sign himself out? If he was told he couldn't be helped? I gave this place a STAR because I was forced TO.

As a professional in the mental health/recovery industry, it was very sad to see how RI operated. The tech's were very friendly and unfortunately untrained. RI did not evaluate the patient that i took there for mental health acuity. Ri did not offer the patient any resources for aftercare. They seemed to not know what "after care" meant or entailed and refused to even give a referral to go be evaluated for psychiatric needs. Beyond letting their patients dry out and walk out. It looks as though on their website that this is a reputable foundation but that was not my experience. My experience showed me that it is a keep the census of struggling people coming through so that the grant money will also keep coming through. Unfortunately this is the only "detox" I have found in Durham. Something needs to change

I finally got the courage to call and go to check in. Upon arrival the lady who works there was rude and snappy so I left. Thanks lady for wasting my time it wouldn't of hurt you to be a little compassionate or nice.

I’ve been to a lot of places over the years, but Recovery Innovations Durham stood out. They didn’t just focus on getting me clean—they helped me understand myself, my trauma, and how to cope with real life. The environment was safe, the staff was well-trained, and they really emphasize peer support, which made a big difference. I left there with hope for the first time in a long time.

The Durham Recovery Response Center is a real asset to the community. They provide immediate help for people in crisis, and they do it without judgment. I appreciated that they had deaf and hard of hearing services, which helped a close friend of mine get care with dignity. The only downside was the wait time, but the quality of care made up for it.

This facility saved my life. I was struggling with both substance use and severe anxiety, and I didn’t think I’d ever find peace. But the team at the Durham Recovery Response Center believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. They were patient, trauma-informed, and supportive every step of the way. I’m now in long-term recovery and rebuilding my life.

I came to Recovery Innovations in Durham during a detox crisis and wasn’t sure what to expect. From intake to treatment, the staff was respectful, professional, and truly compassionate. They understood my co-occurring mental health challenges and treated the whole person, not just the addiction. I walked away feeling like recovery was finally possible for me.

When my son experienced a mental health crisis and had nowhere to go, Durham Recovery Response Center was there for us. The staff treated him with kindness and dignity, and they helped stabilize him during one of the scariest moments of our lives. They also connected us with outpatient support after discharge. I’m beyond grateful for the care they provided.
