I had all the head knowledge but never could put it to practice until i was beaten. Living at zimmys rooms in NKC 1995 I was thrown out for a big fight and causing damage. I called northland and Dottie said we have no beds but we have a floor. By Gods grace and the support and friendships in excelsior springs I was able to a day at a time or 26 years together. I raised two great young men and while life still has it's ups and downs I haven't found it necessary to drink or smoke crack and I'm forever thankful for that freedom.
