I was sent here as a child. It was a horrible place. I was forced on meds, restrained by staff, degraded verbally, mentally, and physically. I was constantly confronted and forced physically to get out of bed in the morning after forced to take Seroquel. I was told I couldn’t use the phone ti call my family, go to do my GED, receive mail, shave, pluck eye brows, pick out my own clothes, unless I confronted people. When I finally started to comply I was drugged up no emotions, they lost my mail, my items they took that were not allowed on a negative level where lost or stolen. The only positive thing I could say is that there was a big sister big brother program. That idea was supportive. All the behavior techniques did not help me but give me night mares of the abuse I experienced here. I remember them dragging me out of bed, cursing and calling me names when confronted. Restrained me in my chair in classes. I will always have these horrible memories. In my life I stayed in contact with two people which not long after over dosed and died. There where no real life coping skills offered in this place. The model of this program is abusive to children.-lerissa Sabala

Don't allow your child to endure the false hope and endless drama. NSI lies about goals they can achieve with a child. If anything your child ends up worse than when they went in. The therapists there need therapy themselves. All they care about is money . NSI is hell on earth BEWARE
