Gaudenzia Together House was my first experience with a rehab facility, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was dealing with severe alcoholism, anxiety attacks, and had previously been in and out of hospitals in Pennsylvania for various mental health crises. The program in Philadelphia offered a mix of detox, structured counseling, and long-term recovery planning that finally stuck with me. I especially appreciated how inclusive they were toward LGBTQ clients and those with complex trauma histories. While the facility isn’t luxurious, the heart and knowledge of the staff more than made up for it. They gave me the tools to start over—and that’s priceless.

After years of struggling with heroin addiction and hospital visits for anxiety and depression, I found a lifeline at Gaudenzia Together House. Their dual diagnosis treatment in a structured residential setting gave me the stability I needed. The team in Philadelphia took my mental health as seriously as my substance abuse, and that was a game-changer for me. I spent several months here and went through detox, therapy, and group counseling that really helped me open up. Recovery isn’t easy, but Gaudenzia gave me hope. If you’re in Pennsylvania and looking for a rehab that truly understands both addiction and mental illness, this is the place.

I came to Gaudenzia Together House as a single mom struggling with alcohol dependency, untreated depression, and high levels of stress. What stood out most was the care they provided not just to me, but to me as a woman with unique challenges. They really understood the link between drug use and mental health, and they gave me the support I needed to detox safely and rebuild from the inside out. The staff in this Philadelphia facility treated me with respect, and the programs were comprehensive, addressing both the physical addiction and emotional wounds. I finally feel like I’m on the road to real, lasting recovery.

Gaudenzia Together House in Philadelphia helped me more than I can express. I was referred here through the court system after years of struggling with alcohol and drug use. What I found wasn’t judgment—it was support, structure, and real tools for recovery. The therapists focused on my co-occurring mental health issues, including anxiety and unresolved trauma. Being in a residential rehab setting gave me time to reset, and the daily groups helped me connect with others fighting similar battles. This is one of the best programs in Pennsylvania if you’re looking for a safe place to begin your journey toward sobriety and mental wellness.

I came to Gaudenzia Together House in Philadelphia when I had hit my lowest point battling drug addiction and severe depression. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was treated as a whole person, not just a number in a system. The staff understood the mental health struggles that came with my alcoholism and anxiety, and they built a treatment plan that addressed every part of my illness. The detox process was handled with compassion and expertise, and the rehab program helped me rediscover my strength. I stayed for long-term residential treatment and finally began to believe in the possibility of recovery. This hospital-based setting in Pennsylvania is truly a place of healing.

I myself had an amazing experience at Gaudenzia from the moment I walked in the door everyone was very welcoming and extremely concerned for my overall well being not just my detox but also my mental state seeing that detoxing from Fentanyl and opiates takes a definite toll on my mental health as well. I found ALL the nurses to be extremely efficient and very well trained and the nurses at Gaudenzia actually really cared about how I was feeling mentally, emotionally and physically and took the time to talk to me about how I was feeling and if I was feeling safe and cared for in their family setting. My Social worker was Ms. Carnita Washington and when I was asked NOT TOLD to go and speak with her I was still experiencing withdrawal seeing it was only my second day and after sitting and talking with her I felt emotionally and physically SO much better! I've sat with many Social workers and have never felt that even one cared at all about what I was going through until a few seconds into speaking with Ms. Washington, she really cared and was very encouraging about my detox and my recovery.. The house managers were amazing as well! Each one took the time to make sure I was eating and getting on well and when I wasn't feeling confident about myself and my recovery they could just tell and took their time to talk with me and to remind me that I do have the strength to continue with what I started. I felt not only cared for but actually loved, yes I said loved! When no other facility would take me they did and all I had to do was ring the bell at the front door, oh and it was 3 am when they welcomed me in and fed me and made sure I had everything that I needed ❤️ made me very well aware of my rights as a client (which had never happened before) and after my completion staff personally walked me out, hugged me and told me that they're there if I needed them again and again ❤️ Between their professionalism and real concern and care I give Gaudenzia a five star review! I've had a rough go through addiction and have been to many detox facilities throughout the last 20 plus years and can honestly say that I found Gaudenzia to be the absolute best! If it's either you or a loved one who wants to detox and get their life back this is the place to find firm grounding into recovery! YOU can do it, you'd be very surprised to find out just how strong you really are when you have amazing people in your life. All you need to do is dig deep and find yourself again, you're still in there, I promise you ❤️ Gaudenzia will personally help you in every way, just go and do it! I cannot thank them all enough for helping me reclaim my life❤️

I signed up for outpatient treatment and the staff was very friendly very helpful and my therapistMr. Derek) a good dude, very understanding never looked down on me because of my alcohol and powdered cocaine addiction. Unfortunately, my addictions got the best of me and I relapsed and didn't return.I was so ashamed of myself I didn't want to show my face and went back to boozing and now thankfully I'm finally getting help that I need. I was admitted to Jefferson Hospital suffering from severe alcohol withdrawal syndrome, borderline experiencing auditory hallucinations. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.
