The home is owned by Michael (Mike) Morrison and Brent who at first look seem to care for the people who go here for help with addiction and stabilizing their life. However, that was not my experience and that IS NOT true. The house has very petty and strict rules for a good reason but you can be kicked out for the slightest reason, you’re treated like cattle or sheep that can be easily replaced and the entire program in itself is based around “fear” so if you make one wrong move you’re kicked out in a 8 hour time frame and asked to leave but wait, before you can just leave with your funding still in place they have most likely called your outpatient to get a new person to fill your bed, which stops your funding and replaces you before you’re done packing! I’ve watched it done more than once and it sickened me because I once had such respect for fairmont recovery until I realized what it only is, a business, PERIOD! I’ve never seen any sober living who doesn’t fix anything like this one or treat the woman so poorly. More like a trap house if you ask me!

This House was so instrumental in my early recovery, Brent & Mike provided a safe place for me to come home to. I found a solid foundation in which to grow and learn. I have since built a life worth living and continue to stay in contact with Fairmont throughout my entire journey through recovery and life. I’ve tried so many times to get and stay clean and once I had enough and was done using, I found a solid house with solid, amazing people that are serious about their recovery. I am so absolutely grateful for Fairmont Park.

I had a great experience with fairmont park recovery. I have been to many sober living homes. I would say this is more of a sober living community. I felt at home here and made many lasting relationships. Whether it was recovery games, disc golfing, or bowling I always had things to do with the people here. Many events like 4th of July and Sober events. Owners and house managers are very involved with people’s recovery journey. Have a great balance between structure and fun. 5/5 from me easily.

I've came out from prison with absolutely nothing. Within 6 months with Fairmont Recovery, I've gained so much freedom, self-respect, relationships, car, savings, credit, school and so on. All thanks to the structure and people in Fairmont. Thanks to Mike and Brent for giving me the opportunity to live at the 56th st house, a safe haven for me in order to regain control of my life after two decades of complete destruction. Thank you so much. If you are new and want a change, it starts here and welcome to a new beginning.

I met Mike, one of the owners, through a treatment center with which I work. I am impressed with Fairmont’s model. From a therapeutic standpoint they offer structure and accountability. This includes doing chores, to attending, 12 step and weekly house meetings, to encouragement on getting a job or going to school. I noticed a strong sense of community; I know many people with years of clean time who went through Fairmont. Recovery is what you make it and their model will set you up for success.I am a clean and have been so for close to a decade. I’ve lived and worked with various sober livings. I have a deep respect for Mike and Brent and what they have created for the recovery community in San Diego. I would highly recommend reaching out to them if you are struggling and looking for a solution.

I came to San Diego in January of 2023 homeless and in need of help. I went to the San Diego Freedom Ranch and then to ECS who sent me to a Fairmont Park home (The Ranch). I was there from April of 2023 until July of 2024 and this was exactly what I needed and Matt, the manager was exactly who I needed. This home helped turn my life around and learn to love myself again so I could in turn live again. While living there I got a job as a treatment counselor and on August 3rd I got my certification as a Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor. I would not have had this opportunity without Fairmont Park. For six months I was an assistant manager and was able to help others in their recovery as well. I left on great terms, and Matt used to always say this place is a launching pad not a landing strip. I agree 💯 percent and I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Mike and Brent are supportive, receptive and actively engaged in helping people redefine their purpose and elevate to new levels of life. I am forever grateful and I highly recommend the Fairmont Family for anyone actively seeking real recovery 🙏 Thank you guys again!

When I hit a rough spot in my life my inpatient program sent me to Fairmont Park Recovery sober living. I went broken not only on the inside and out. They welcome me with open arms. This place helped me get back to the person I was before I had my struggle. I appreciate everyone there and the support.

Fairmont Park Recovery saved and changed my life!! For years I was in and out of recovery and lived in multiple “sober living” houses. Most were dirty, no rules, no accountability free for alls which did nothing for my life and/or my recovery. It wasn’t until I found my way to Fairmont Park that things finally turned around for me. Management (Zack, Stephan, Chance, Connor and Justin), owners that actually cared and a community that showed me the love and compassion I didn’t even know I wanted or deserved. The house was always immaculately clean, there was zero tolerance for any sort of disrespectful behavior or ANY sort of bullshit and I always felt safe, respected, supported and encouraged to grow in my recovery which I still maintain almost 4 years later (24 days to go 🙏). Because they have such a sincere and passionate focus on recovery it was the Fairmont Park Family that taught me what true recovery is all about. Meetings, fellowship, service and 12 simple steps done in order with a sponsor gave me freedom from active addiction, success and a life truly worth living. None of this would have been possible if I hadn’t stumbled across Fairmont Park Recovery and I am extremely grateful and blessed to have found my way here. Thank you!!

Fairmont Park Recovery isn’t just a sober living—it’s a family. I’ve been here for the last two years, and the support, love, and sense of community have been life-changing. Being new to San Diego, I didn’t know many people, but here I was able to connect with others in recovery who truly understand the journey. This place has given me stability, friendships, and hope when I needed it most. I can honestly say it has literally saved my life. If you’re looking for a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment to grow in your recovery, this is it.
