I went here about 8 years ago for detox. They lied over the phone saying i was going to be able to manage my pain and im free to roam around outside. They stuck me in the pysch ward section where i was a prisioner.couldnt leave with ppl court ordered to be in there. I was on voluntarily. They handed me so many pills the night i arrived my blood pressure was so low they couldnt even get a reading. I checked out the next day. The reason they put me in the pych ward was because of greed. They said my insurance would only cover 5 days of detox but if i was in the pysch ward it would cover 30 days. They almost killed me. Anyone seeing this i beg u not to go here

Charles Place is Terrible. I am a Air Force Disabled Veteran. The Veteran's Administration pay's Centicor or Charles Place a 1.000 Dollars a Day for Veteran's to be there. At a meeting with our Caseworker Grace, she asked about 12 of us in the Room if we had any Complaint's? I said yes, I have a Complaint, and I said to Grace that the Food was below Horrible and she said to me, if you don't like it leave. This was a very unprofessional answer from Grace. This was typical of the Staff there Grace, made this ignorant Answer, because she Knows most people are Homeless there and have no place to go, so Grace Made this Egregiously Stupid Answer Like a threat to go to the Street if you Don't Like it there. The Food was below Bad there, I mean, you were still hungry right after each meal and you Went to Bed Hunt Too. Again, I Emphasize, the Food was Disgusting. You can see they were Really Cutting Corner's on the Food to the Lowest Levels. It's Missappropriatiins of The Veteran's Administration to Pay 1.000 Dollars a Day for This Food The Food was so Bad, that Somebody who's in Charge if that Food should go to Jail for Serving it. It was an Insult. The only good thing was the one Counselor Named Norman. He was Great... The C.E.O. From Charles Place Should go to Jail, because the Good Quality was a Crime. I knyoi that Fat Counselor Grace is not Eating Food from Charles Place. Because she wouldn't be So Obese. Blatant Government Waste of Money, Eric

They gave me all the tools needed to succeed outside the walls including hope, introduction to 12 step meetings, knowledge on addiction, and experience. Also they provided an aftercare plan which is vital to successfull recovery. I'll be forever grateful.
