As a requirement, the therapists at the Center for Behavioral Health centers take part in ongoing education and training that are related to their practice so they can improve their therapeutic ability.The entire staff contributes in community outreach to tell outside agencies about the effects of drugs and alcohol, treatment, the medications they employ, as well as the several services that they provide. During this time, the staff is able to gain material on other community services that could be beneficial to their patients. The Center for Behavioral Health is a set of dedicated outpatient treatment programs that offer services for many drug and alcohol related problems including an emphasis on treating opiate addiction. One of the major parts of treatment is counseling. The facilities associated with the Center for Behavioral Health offer 3 main types of treatment, one-on-one, family therapy and group counseling. Besides counseling, patients will also receive help in case management, monitoring medication intake, and preparation for discharge.
