Sorry I can’t do zero stars …. I sadly regret I had to leave this place today .. I wanted to stay however they chose to continue to have a person on staff whom was abusing clients. This staff member used language like “f*got” , “b*tch”, and I’ll stop there as that was some of the less offensive stated to us as we were having one break between poorly run group. This person was terminated for the period of a day only to be brought back due to his union or similar malfunction on their part. As we felt safe for a day we were shocked to find he had come back because we were told their hands were tied. As the group came together to not eat that particular persons food prepared and order a meal to eat it was at that time the meal was canceled and we were left with no meal for a second time that day . It was obvious whom was important , not the challenged person they kicked out the evening before for making far less aggressive comments to a peer. Hard to believe I know . Mixing up and denying any or all medication was one of my lesser problems . Of a group of 24 only a few could leave due to many issues pertaining to their situations and let me say they were all for lack of a better word “bullied “ into remaining as they were told they would go to jail immediately . I fortunately was not in that situation , however it was a tactic they used when calling my family and making up a lie that a warrant had been issued and I was encouraged to return to solve that warrant . There in no way shape or form was a legal issue and as I had release info to probation. It was in no way a requirement and they used scare tactics to try and bully me into coming back to a unsafe facility. At one point after I was ridiculed and while waiting for my ride by staff in the office. I was approached that the person may leave and if I would stay. Although I loved it there once I stated I was going to leave it was as if the switch was flipped and the retaliation began from the staff.. statements like if I was given into on getting lunch what would I bitch and complain about next if I didn’t get my way.. I’m not talking about some silly get my way scenario. Here is a group of wonderful individuals desperate for help myself included . It was so clear that they had very little interest in anything but who they got their next orders from and. Not one single person could actually make a decision until after something was done and then they could get up on their soapbox and decide whom was the most in charge and ride that high horse So I hope not one single person endures what had happened not only to me but to many like me and I am not ashamed to have my name on this and would and will stand by this as a person so afraid to reach out for help in a situation for need in my life. I hope this doesn’t deter you from getting help but only deciding that this is one terrible place to end up for that help. I don’t hope for it to get shut down. just for someone or anyone to actually go in there that has a clue how to operate a facility because we need these places more now than ever. It’s just a shame this place has hit the bottom. If anyone had similar issues I’d encourage them to contact the state at a minimum and document all of the not only huge issues it has as a faculty but the rights that not only I but the countless others just like me endured when being called awful names and having our basic human rights violated… I know it’s is long but I pray it helps you make a decision other than here …. As I speak for not only myself but countless others that were or are unable to communicate as you have no ability to while you are completely locked down inside and at the mercy of asking to use the community phone at their discretion. The end result was…. I was told I just needed to allow myself to be bullied either one more day or until the end of the weekend ( know one knew like always) And it would all be better Monday so just shut up and eat the food( we all thought he spit in) ( and he all but admitted it ) NO THANKS!!!!
