Sunday night, November 3rd around 9:00pm, I accidentally poked myself in my forearm with a knife. A small mistake/ accident...however, to my great surprise, I severed an artery. There is much to write here, but I'll skip to my arrival at Baystate. I had lost a good deal of blood and was whisked into a trauma room. I was conscious and alert...but, in trouble. I was so very impressed with everyone in the room. Their focus, professionalism, and care were truly exceptional. I spent the evening in the ED. I feel badly that the only names I remember, are of the two exceptional nurses who took such good care of me. I'm certain I will spell them wrong...but, a big thank-you! to "Maddie" & "To-Mika"! My care from my arrival to my release, the next day, was flawless... THANK-YOU, Baystate...! -sincerely, Eric K. Jackson
