Hydrocodone is an Opioid (Narcotic) Pain Reliever synthesized from Codeine used to treat moderate-severe pain, as well as acting as a cough-suppressant. It is most commonly known being one of the two components of Vicodin. Like other Opioids, Hydrocodone affects the CNS by regulating activity that increases pain tolerance and decreases pain perception. Visit the Hydrocodone Page to learn more.
