Dangers of Hashish Abuse

Hashish belongs to a category of drugs referred to as Cannabis. Cannabis drugs are addictive in their nature and are dangerous to individual who abuse them. Cannabis drugs such as Hashish have been known to be a stepping stone to much heavier drug abuse in some individuals.

It is common for individual abusing these types of drugs to in time develop an addiction to harder drugs, such as prescription Opiates, Heroin, Cocaine and other substances. Individuals using Hashish heavily often report the following: lower levels of satisfaction in life, decreased physical health, issues with mental health and frequent relationship problems. In addition to a decrease in success of academics and careers.

Hashish can cause difficulties with learning and problem solving. It also alters an individual’s perception of time and space. Hashish Effects

There are many effects that result from Hashish use. However, some of the effects are more defining characteristics than others. Some of the signs and symptoms of intoxication that tend to be most common are:  impaired motor functions, distorted perception such as sights, sounds, time, touch, loss of coordination, increased heart rate, anxiety, and panic attacks, impaired judgment, dry mouth, inflammation and redness of the eyes, increased appetite, red eyes, lack of motivation or ambition, and a constant I don’t care type of attitude. One of the most defining effects caused by Hashish use is in the younger age group. Younger people that use such drugs are known to lose interest in prior functions, activities and responsibilities.

Warning Signs of Hashish Abuse in a Loved One

When Hashish abuse is happening in a loved one, there are many warning signs. A few of the most commonly identified signs of Hashish abuse are loss of ability to concentrate, completing tasks, a decline in short-term memory and drowsiness. One of the most defining characteristics of Hashish abuse in younger people is a decline in normal interests, including education, career-oriented goals and clubs in effort to get intoxicated and relaxed with Cannabis substances.

One of the top signs that a loved one has an issue with Hashish use is the inability to complete and concentrate on certain tasks and responsibilities. Hashish use is also particularly common among teens and young adults. If your teen or loved one is using Hashish, get help soon.
