Oxycodone is a prescription Opioid (Narcotic) pain reliever intended to treat moderate to severe pain. It is the primary component in the prescription pill OxyContin and is highly addictive. Like other Opioids, Oxycodone affects the CNS by regulating activity that increases pain tolerance and decreases pain perception. Visit the Oxycodone Page for more information.
