As a health care professional, the first thing I must say looking at Google reviews is that I am unsurprised at both the 2.0 star rating and the passive aggressive replies to negative reviews. The office staff is most decidedly rude and unprofessional, which they credit to being overworked and under too much pressure from management.Therapeutic communication is nonexistent at a practice that is specifically intended for mental health patients. The mental health care system in our country is absolutely broken, and it is offices like this one that enable the continued abuse and negligent treatment of mental health patients. The loudest communication is action. If you are dissatisfied with your service, seek a professional practice that will work for you. There are so many Telehealth options available now. Why be subjected to impatience and ridicule when you're only doing your best to take care of your mental health? I can only imagine how a suicidal individual would respond to such treatment. If they experienced such difficulty at a place that is generally perceived as an authority on mental health, they would likely give up and follow through with an attempt on their own life. This literally amounts to murder. That might sound extreme, but look at the world around you. Pulled from bullyingstatistics.com: - Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year, according to the CDC. For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 suicide attempts. - Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University - A study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullyingI am absolutely disgusted at the bullying of the mentally ill which management at this facility allows and enables. Mind and Body, you should be ashamed of your practices, and you should not hesitate to better inform yourselves and your staff about mental illness - especially trauma informed care.
