CR Fellowship Traditions and Values
Celebrate Recovery Fellowship has distinct values and guidelines that define their type of program. Their program is centered around the words of Christ in the Bible and firmly believes that Jesus Christ is the one and only Higher Power.
The CR program has published literature called The Bible that correlated their program, in no way did they edit the actual Bible to fit the program. Use of the Celebrate Recovery Bible is strongly encouraged when participating in the recovery program because it corresponds to the Celebrate Recovery curriculum. Celebrate Recovery’s program consists of the Leader’s Guide, Celebrate Recovery Journal, and four Participant’s Guides.
Celebrate Recovery’s program is group based by gender specific to ensure the client’s focus is entirely on recovery. Having gender specific groups helps those in need relate to each other and establish a level of comfortability.

CR’s Brief History in Time
Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-Centered recovery program that uses the words of Christ in the Bible to help overcome our addiction, triggers, and bad habits. CR is based on the actual words of Jesus to provide strength is getting clean and sober rather than psychological approach.
Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery 20 years ago with 43 people. The founders designed their program to help those in need by showing them the power of Jesus Christ’s words through a recovery process. They have established programs for those incarnated called Celebrate Recovery Inside. CR has helped more than 17000 people with their recovery process.
In 1998 a faith-based prison program adopted the Celebrate Recovery program and literature at the Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility. The success of the program within the prison system quickly grew to five prisons and continues to grow as more inmates find a solution to their addiction within the prison.
Celebrate Recovery® Inside: A Program For Those Doing Time
Celebrate Recovery® Inside is a program established within the prisons and jails to provide inmates with recovery options. This program was founded by Saddleback Valley Community in Lake Forest, California. CR Inside program encourages fellowship and recovery within the facility.
Many other fellowship programs provide help for a single issue. Celebrate Recovery and CR Inside focuses on the person as a whole. Celebrate Recovery believes that working the program they have designed will help the participants grow spiritually and become better versions of themselves through the healing power of Jesus.
