Methadone is a synthetic Opioid (Narcotic) that is used to help relieve pain in those withdrawing from an Opioid/Narcotic addiction by reducing physical withdrawal symptoms without inducing an Opioid/Narcotic “high”. Rehabilitation clinics/medical institutes must be certified and approved for jurisdiction to distribute this medication, making it highly regulated and difficult to obtain outside of a medical setting. Methadone can be ingested as a pill or liquid. Visit the Methadone Page for more information.
