My sister Patricia Dunn was admitted to this hospital on 8-4-2019. Pat went from bad to worse in her condition and ended her life in the ICU on 8-23-2019 at 3:50 pm. During the whole time, the hospital staff kept my sister as comfortable as they could. ICU was there in one second when my sister had any problem. The staff informed me of any issues when I needed it and also at the end called me with updates. The staff made my sister comfortable at the end to make my sister be able to leave this life without pain. I thank the staff for that beyond measure. If I had to be in a hospital, the N. E. Baptist Hosp. in San Antonio, Texas is a great one for medical care. Everyone was super nice also. Thank you again

Nicole Rivera is completely unprofessional with her job. I work for a company who provides services and she had the nerve to talk shit on the phone to me and not have her story straight to try and make me look like I didn't know what I was doing. She should be ashamed of herself and learn how to do her job and not be ugly to people because that is not going to get you anywhere in life ma'am. When you work in this field you get your facts straight first before you accuse people of something they didn't do and even at that you don't have to be an asshole about it either.

I was taken to the ER the second week of November 2019 after having an allergic reaction while donating. PROS: The staff was extremely pleasant and respectful and attentive. To be honest, it was the nicest and friendliest experience I've had with medical staff in a long time. WAY BETTER than University Hospital. And the care and attention that I experienced with everyone I dealt with really made me feel comfortable and taken care of. Especially when I was provided with warm blankets and tucked in lol.CONS: The staff and nurses weren't the best about cleaning after themselves or really lax about clean up. There was a point when I had gone to wash my hands in the sink in my ER room and there was a cup full of blood with bandages completely open and exposed just sitting in the sink from who knows when. It wasn't until I notified another nurse that she said, "Oh yeah, gross. Let me clean that up for you." that it was taken care of. Had I not said anything who knows how long it might have stayed there. Another thing I noticed is the nurse who came to give me my discharge paperwork and remove my IV for saline left it on the chair beside us (this is in a discharge waiting room, mind you) and it stayed there until I asked another nurse about it, to which she replied "Oh yeah, you can just throw it in the trash right there. It's not a needle."So overall, 3 stars for how nice and friendly everyone was and the care provided felt very ethical. Like asking before lifting my shirt or a sticking me with a needle. It's been a while since I had people describe their every step to me as a patient and treat me with such humanity, vs being treated like just another #. 2 stars knocked off for cleanliness. Other than that the beds and rooms were clean everywhere I looked. And the ER waiting room even had a water dispenser, coffee maker, and snacks available- which is the first I've seen compared to Santa Rosa and University Hospital ER waiting rooms.
