Residential treatment centers, also referred to as RTC or inpatient rehab, are considered the best method for successfully treating addiction and substance abuse disorders.

Clients who participate in these programs reside at the treatment center and are provided with therapy, other healing treatments, as well as meals and transportation. People are increasingly choosing residential treatment for their substance abuse disorder because these programs have statistically been proven to work.

Accommodations range in amenities offered, as well as the length of the residential phase of the program. Some treatment centers that offer residential treatment also offer detox care and intensive outpatient programs. Some people find that attending all three in succession is the best way to combat the disease of addiction’s symptomology.

These live-in treatment programs are renowned for offering comfortable, homey residential quarters combined with intensive therapy and healing. While removed from familiar environments, many people find that more progress is made in a shorter period.
