The house manager for the women's halfway house, Transition house, is not only verbally abusive, she threatened to kick my a**, when I was discharged, but she is a thief. My packages sent to the house were kept and not returned ti sender; the vendor confirmed that today. Also, when I unpacked my belongings, after leaving there, many of things were missing. I would NEVER recommend Transition house to any woman seeking help. If Deborah did not work at that house, I would have a different attitude. There is a wonderful program, in San Diego, called Turning Point. It is a long term program. I would highly recommend them. My best to you.

I checked in here on Feburary 3, 2015 and I cannot be more pleased with the reception I received. This recovery house (there is no doubt this a recovery house as well as a transition house) took me in, treated me with dignity and respect, and left me alone to discover how I would adjust. I have taken advantage of all the Transition House has to offer and wll gratefully continues to do until I leave. God is good!!! Phillip Morris Jones

The Transition House Of Dinsmore. Recreating recidivism in the great state of Florida in a whole new way. The decrepit place needs to be demolished. The director, as well as assistant director need to be incarcerated for their gross mistreatment of inmates & for the misappropriation of funds earned by their so called clients. Don't be surprised when this place is exposed for it's corruption on national & local news following a federal investigation.

It's very strict, but the staff really cares about us, and I've made friends here3 that will last forever. Food is good, but it's portion controlled, a lot of groups, and coffee not allowed.
