About this Facility'+'+
We teach the Biblical principles of recovery from the AA Twelve Steps as presented in the AA books, “Alcoholics Anonymous,” and “The Twelve and Twelve,” and the Eight Principles of Celebrate Recovery. We have a therapeutic community that encourages Christian discipleship and the development of recovery attitudes and personal accountability. We are licensed by the State of Georgia as a residential drug treatment program. We are certified by the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences, and approved by the Georgia Board of Pardon and Parole. Our counselors are professionally competent and are certified as Addiction Counselors by state and national certification boards. Our counselors are theologically sound. They are all professing Christians, called to minister to men and women suffering from addiction to alcohol and/or drugs. While our counselors are thoroughly trained in the process of individual counseling, group counseling, crisis counseling, and family education, they recognize that the ultimate guidance for the counseling process is the Holy Spirit. We present the Gospel of mercy and grace provided through the blood of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts of the need for salvation. The individual responds.

Penfield saved my sons life. He just told me yesterday that he fit in and felt comfortable in surroundings that he never thought that he would. (Meetings, church, sober living ) He has made great progress since being home. Accomplished things that he has tried to do for years. One day at a time! Thank you Penfield for giving our family back. Thank God for leading us to Penfield.

Penfield is such a special place side apart from all the caos of everyday life, for the purpose of recovering through the our Lord Jesus Christ. Such an amazing group of men and women who love deeply and pray faithfully. What a blessing for our communities and families across Georgia.

A saying at Penfield Christian Homes is that 'God walks the halls there'. I can truly say after having a loved one treated there that the above sentence is true. The love that is shown there by the staff, and that is cultivated in the residents, is without a doubt heavenly inspired. After 2 weeks there, my loved one 'found God'. His life has been changed and I believe saved, because of the Christian men that are the heart of Penfield. Thank God for this program and for the support of the Georgia Baptist Association that sponsors it. I will support this organization in the future and will pray that it remains strong and available to those with addictions for as long as there are people that need it. Words fail me to express my gratitude for giving us our son back, healthy and whole. May God richly bless each and everyone involved in this miraculous place. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

When I went here I was broken and wanted to die. Life hurt. But God stepped in and I found myself at the Heart campus. There, God provided a safe place for me to deal with the pain I had been trying to cover up with alcohol and substances for years. He set me free, and I began to heal. I stayed as a Servant Leader and during that time I became a Hardcore Jesus follower, a disciple, and friend of God. I learned how to put my faith into practice daily, and to empty myself so He could use me. I know God sent me there, and because I did, my life was forever changed.
