Interesting story I've heard about the horrible treatment and service that CITC provides. While my disabled mother is waiting to hear back about whether or not she'll receive public assistance, she gets several phone calls from friends and family (my mom's step-daughter included), all of them saying that a representative from CITC called and repeatedly asked about my dead father and his whereabouts. My father has been dead for SIX years coming up on the 15th of January. My mother provided the death certificate and Social Security Death benefits information that my 17 year old brother receives with her application for assistance. She doesn't receive benefits from Social Security because my parents never married, they were in a domestic partnership for over 25 years. So on top of harassing my mother about my dead father, accusing her of not listing Social Sec. assistance she's receiving (which is assistance she CAN'T receive), I've got friends and family being harassed. Family that includes my older half-sister (my mom's step daughter) who very recently lost her husband. The emotional and mental effects of this harassment is astounding and I'm very obviously going to recommend avoiding CITC if you can. Some of the things said during the phone call were: 'Where is James?' 'Where is your father?' 'Where is he? Don't lie' 'Are you sure?' (said in response to my sister answering that he's been dead for six years) Great team of people you have over there, CITC. Truly stunning work. Harassing a family about their deceased relative is how you choose to do things. My poor mother can't go through any other agency because she's native and this is the treatment she gets with her own people? A service she's supposed to rely on and can't even count on because of horrible treatment by the staff there?
