For more than 25 years, Beacon Addiction Treatment Center has served the people of Birmingham, Jefferson County and surrounding counties with professional outpatient substance abuse treatment. We offer a variety of treatment components in the context of a 12-step environment and the understanding that addiction is a disease. We provide treatment for adults and adolescents. Our clinical staff is comprised of experienced, professionally licensed counselors, social workers, marriage & family therapists and case managers. Each of these professionals has additional specific training in working with persons with substance-related problems. The program is certified by and contracts with the State of Alabama’s Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse Division. The curricula used in our programs are evidenced-based–they have been clinically proven to benefit clients.
