Addiction is a progressive and deadly disease. Overdose deaths now ranks as the number one cause of accidental death in the United States, above car accidents and gun-related deaths.

No group has been spared the devastation that this mental illness causes, including the Hispanic and Latino communities. Without treatment, those struggling with substance abuse and addiction related problems have little chance of recovering their health, lives and prosperity. Far too many people are dying of substance abuse and addiction in this country already. If a person is actively using, treatment and help is needed immediately, before any more trauma and tragedy occurs.

Addiction treatment works to remedy the mental, physical and spiritual components of addiction. Through various therapeutic methods, individuals are able to understand why he or she used and learn new, healthy coping skills to better handle stress and triggers in the future.

Addiction treatment is all about communication. If you are primarily a Spanish-speaking individual who needs help overcoming this life-threatening disease, then a treatment program that offers Spanish-based treatment may be best for you. After all, you deserve to be comfortable and able to clearly and easily understand the message that the treatment program is delivering.
