About this Facility'+'+
The Pointe Outpatient Behavioral Health Services provides the highest quality, therapeutic experience to families in their own hometown. A full continuum of services includes outpatient, school-based, and day treatment, as well as inpatient services through Pinnacle Pointe Hospital.Physicians, licensed therapists and mental health paraprofessionals provide services through The Pointe Outpatient Behavioral Health Services. A therapist will work with each client and family to develop a plan with clearly defined short-term goals. When a client needs more treatment than weekly appointments, but may not be so impaired that they need to be in the hospital, the intensive outpatient program (IOP) is an effective option. Both very effective and less expensive, IOP is available to treat more severe disorders. The Pointe offers more intensive mental health treatment for youth with issues related to depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, PTSD and behavior disorders. The program consists of three hours of treatment five days a week after school. The program includes group, individual and family therapy services in a safe, therapeutic and confidential setting.

Somehow one of the councilors (heather story) got it in her head that my child told her that she was being sexually abused and it was reported to state police, only after the initial call from an investigator did I discover I was the accused! I was furious! The state investigator came to my home and interviewed my family (every word of the interview was recorded) and I couldn't be home during this time, in the interview my child told the investigator that she DID NOT say that and the investigator asked my child if they knew who 'miss heather' was and that she made the call after my child supposedly told her about the sexual abuse. All in all the recording caught the investigator in multiple lies and the case was closed obviously because nothing happened. Please steer clear of this place. The only thing I can suggest to this establishment is DRUG TEST YOUR EMPLOYEES before you have someone's children taken away for no reason at all. I did not like this heather woman from the beginning when I first met her, my first impression was not good and I suspected substance abuse but that is my personal opinion and I gave her the benefit of the doubt and shouldn't have. As for the business it's self, it is very very poorly ran. Our initial visit was less than pathetic, we walked in and had a seat and it was nearly 20 mins before someone finally decided to come see who had come in and then the woman we were going to meet with (heather) was another 25 mins late and smelled like an ashtray when she came in like she had just smoked an entire pack of cigarettes as fast as possible (this was my first impression). She was not professional dressed at all, a t-shirt, jeans and flip flops are not proper attire for a 'behavioral therapist'. Either way after we found out who made the call we immediately pulled our child from this place. The only reason I have not filed a restraining order against the counselor is because my child will not be in public school this up coming school year as the counselor also visits other children at the public school my child attended last year. I really wish there was an option for zero stars or negative stars, I truely hope no one else has to go threw what my family went threw for over a month because of someone either making up a story or got some other child's story confused for something they thought my child said.
