I came out of Seabrook yesterday for addiction (Suboxone aka a methodone like substance) and was halfway inpressed with their care. They express themselves as "dual diagnosis" which they really are not. I was detoxed in a very caring manner using phenobarbital and Subutex and had treatments including Accu-detox, the Biomat, Massage, Accupuncture, Yoga, Art Therapy, Group Therapy, etc. This institution is based around the 12 steps of NA/AA. I also have Bi-Polar and was seen over video-conference with a "tele-psychiatrist" who did not know my name or history and started changing all my meds. Fast forward and I ended up in the ER three times for psychiatric reasons. I was eventually discharged due to depression that could not be controlled in the setting of Seabrook House. I am returning home to do an Outpatient Program and return to my work and school. Seabrook was very good at detoxing me off Subs and Opiates but in the long run I do not think that they should advertise themselves as dual diagnosis because that is not where their strengths lie. They accept Insurance. Approximate cost is $30,000. Stay is 21-28 days. 2 bedroom suits. About a 4 hour drive from Northern New Jersey.

They are not dual diagnosis but advertise that they are. They will not treat you and expect you to find care on your own. Group sessions provide about 5 minutes of speaking about your problems with terrible feedback.AVOID. They will charge you thousands for NO CARE.

This place saved my life and the lives of many people that I came to know during my stay there. Its up to each individual to use the tools we are taught and follow the suggestions we are given. We are told the staggering statistics of people that don't make it versus those who do. Some people think they are different and try to go back out. Most will not make it back. Fortunately that is not my story. God willing this Monday will be 7 years free from all mind and mood altering substances. Thank you seabrook house for providing me the tools to save my own life! Highly recommend!!

I went there about 5 years ago and it was amazing. I’d been to other facilities before but Sea Brook house was by far the best. It’s super clean and they follow a strict schedule that helps you relearn basic life skills. The staff was amazing and I felt very comfortable there.
