What can you say to someone who has given you back your son? “Thanks” is not enough… not even close! If you are reading these reviews, and you have a loved one dealing with addiction issues, you know it feels like this crazy, terrible, fear-fueled circus ride you are on, and even when you are begging for it to stop, it just keeps going! All the while, you love the person, but you feel helpless to help them.We felt we had lost our son to drugs about 8 years ago, so when we sat down in 2023 to talk to the team at Lighthouse, we were tired, devastated and fearful of our son’s future. We did not know what to do, but the destruction of addiction had taken a terrible toll on our family. I had heard about Lighthouse from my son’s doctor about 3 years earlier, and I had even called and talked to a friendly, young man at Lighthouse named Grant. He was amazing and helpful. But, my son was not ready to go. Grant gave me options and said to call him if I needed any other help.Fast forward 3 years. We tried to talk to him. We cried. We pleaded to stop the drugs. Finally, we told him he would have to move from our home. We offered rehab and said we were 110% behind recovery but would no longer be able to help him while he chose drugs. I felt my heart breaking! It was interesting to see how over the last eight years, he had lost jobs, friends and so much money over this drug. Now, no one was bailing him out and no friends were opening up their doors for him to come stay with them.History: Our son had graduated at the top of his class. He had taken Calculus and was in National Honor Society. He had been an active youth leader in our church! How could he have chosen to start smoking weed? And what started as a fun past time with friends, quickly spiraled downward into an all encompassing addiction that would take every dime, and every thought from him . It demanded everything from him.In April of 2023, our son hit a bottom, and my dear Uncle was able to talk to him, and he called us and said he would go to rehab. While at rehab, we gingerly started talking about sober living. At first it was a resounding “no”, but we told him we had looked at the top sober living homes in Dallas, and Lighthouse came out on top for us. We told him that everyone was kind and helpful.Lighthouse is amazing. A young man named Augie told us his story and the part about living in his truck was similar to our son’’s story. We also met Frankie who helped give us a tour of one of the homes. He answered questions. Grant was right there too! They offered hope! But the best is that our son then talked to Grant while in rehab, and he started considering it. He entered Lighthouse July 1, and he was there 10 months. He did the full program at Lighthouse! It was such a great program!Tears fill my eyes on this next part, he called me today on FaceTime to show me his Christmas tree, and the X-box he had purchased from a pawn shop! He has pawned so many gaming systems for drugs in the past, and now he had purchased one from a pawn store! By the way, while at Lighthouse, he saved and bought a car on his own (men at Lighthouse mentored him on finances). He got a good job while at Lighthouse! He is now living in a nice apartment, has a dog and a girlfriend. He has been at his job 14 months. And he was calling to invite his mom and dad to dinner! Like I said, “Thank you” is just not enough! The staff is incredible! Bryce and Frankie are so good with our son. They still mentor him. Steve mentored him and taught him how to handle his finances. Dr Keels is wise and insightful in the middle of it all, and we needed that! Mike Jones has assembled an all-star team that gives young men their lives back.We had to get creative with our finances to do this step. I want to be honest about that, but there are so many ways to get creative, and we just felt we had to give our son this shot….. worth every penny!I cannot recommend Lighthouse enough!! I know the pain of losing my son for years, and now getting him back! PRICELESS!! And I pray that for you too!

Lighthouse Recovery offers exceptional, sober living treatment and outpatient clinical services. The facilities are extremely nice, and the staff is professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable in the treatment of addiction. I have nothing but an A+ review on every aspect of their treatment services. My son thrived here where her floundered in other facilities. They are a blessing!

Lighthouse has been a blessing for our family. The Sober Living and Clinical programs provided a necessary combination for our son to commit to sobriety and have the community and support he needed to maintain it. The structure of the sober living program was invaluable to us in that we were able to speak with our Case Manager weekly for updates about our son’s progress and how he was showing up, and that provided us with one contact to give us coordinated information. The staff are professional and knowledgeable, and I truly believe we, as a family, would not be where we are without them. Recovery is hard, hard work, and at Lighthouse, they are willing to do that work with you and your loved one.

Lighthouse gave me the blessing of a fresh start and a safe environment to get my life back onto a sustainable road. The community as well as the program of Lighthouse has developed me into a person who found living sober to be enjoyable and most importantly possible. They are able to truly inspire hope for us through fellowship, guidance and willingness to do the next right thing. On top of this they have the best of the best when it comes to a clinical team of therapists that understood me and my addiction. Thankful for every moment spent with the wonderful people at Lighthouse that are trying to provide solution for others like me.

Lighthouse was exactly the support my son needed as he embarked on the next phase of his recovery journey. The program provided a safe and highly structured environment, which was crucial for his healing. The comprehensive support he received from the staff was instrumental in building his confidence and equipping him with the necessary tools to navigate a sober life. He was able to engage in valuable therapeutic activities that focused on personal growth, all while surrounded by a community that fostered accountability and understanding. This nurturing atmosphere helped him gain the skills and resilience needed to face the challenges of sobriety with newfound strength and optimism. I want to express my gratitude to Grant, Bryce, Frankie, Brooke Keels, and Mike Jones for providing my son with this opportunity to heal.

Our Lighthouse advocate, Frankie Gomez, kept us constantly informed about the status of our family member while in their sober living environment. He and his team’s professional approach provided us with a friendly face we could contact with questions or concerns at any time, day or night. Being exhausted, distraught parents, we never imagined feeling so confident after each update about the holistic and personal approach Lighthouse provided. We have a lifetime friend in Frankie and would recommend his experienced group of lifesavers without reservation. We believe Lighthouse is very well named – call them and see for yourself. They are an outliner among many other options.

From the moment I reached out to Lighthouse, I knew my son would be well cared for. From detox all the way to recovery, they were there every step of the way. They have a wonderful staff of counselors, coordinators, and the management team were always available to answer questions. It was a difficult decision in one regard because he would be two states away. But it was what was best for him. Lighthouse was the best fit for him to get past his alcoholism. If you are interested in full treatment options, I cannot say enough good things about Lighthouse.

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. When I came here fresh out of rehab, I was in a rough spot, and honestly, I didn’t know if I’d ever pull myself together. But you all took me in, gave me a place to get my head straight, and most importantly, you never gave up on me—even when I wasn’t making it easy. You guys stuck by me through everything, and because of that, I’ve been able to grow into someone I never thought I could be. I’ve learned so much here, not just about staying sober but about being a better person—someone who’s responsible, who thinks before he acts, and who actually wants to build a real future. That means more than I can put into words. The staff here is seriously amazing. Mike Jones, Michael Fowler, Frankie Gomez, Bryce Hand, Joshua Stoddard, and Brooke Keels—you guys are the backbone of this place. Each of you brings something different to the table, and together, you create a space where people like me get a real chance at a new life. You’re patient, you understand what we’re going through, and you actually care—which isn’t something you find everywhere. This place saved my life. That’s not an exaggeration. I wouldn’t be where I am without the support, guidance, and second chances I got here. I’ll always be grateful for that.

Lighthouse has been the biggest blessing to our family and I’m so thankful everyday that we found them. The staff is incredible, from the owner to case managers, house managers, clinical team, etc, everyone communicates and functions as a team. Our son is thriving and has found his joy again in sobriety. The model lighthouse uses is so affective, moving through recovery in a real life setting and it makes all the difference. I have and will continue to recommend lighthouse to anyone in need of help breaking free from addiction.

Lighthouse recovery is the best of the best. I came in struggling with addiction and had lost almost everything in my life. The people here are top class and ultimately care for your health and wellbeing. This place has changed my perspective of life and I’ve enjoyed my stay since the beginning of October. The PHP, IOP phase has taught me so many life changing lessons as well as the sober living aspect and would recommend this place for anyone who’s dealing with struggling addictions. I am forever grateful of this place.

If you are reading reviews about Lighthouse Recovery of Texas, then you are probably a member of the club nobody wants to join. Originally, my review started with how our journey through the insanity of addiction led us to Lighthouse. I changed my mind because we all have a story and ours isn’t unique. Your story is what brought you here. Be grateful it did.Never one at a loss for words, I struggle to adequately convey how much the people at Lighthouse mean to me. My son is a current client, and I am leaving this review in real time. The level of engagement and confidence I am seeing in him is proof this program is a good fit. I dare to say “this time feels different”. ;) Every member of the staff with whom I have had contact has been open, compassionate and patient. I have come to rely heavily on the expertise and guidance of case workers Michael and Frankie and clinical supervisor Nora to support my son’s sobriety and life of recovery in the healthiest way.Read the reviews and know this: The Lighthouse program IS unique. It is real life. It is tailored to your person and you. The staff support system is made of people who have lived the struggle and believe in the fight. They work 24/7 to give the highest level of care to clients and their families. I don’t know what I’d do without them and I’m grateful to have a Lighthouse Recovery of Texas chapter in my story.

I think lighthouse laid down the the groundwork I needed to become the sober adult I am today. Having support from a team of people who actively pushed me to better myself was what I needed to get sober and push past my character defects.Anyone who needs a safe place to rebuild their sobriety should go here!(Photo is of the chip the owner gave me for hitting one year in sobriety, he went out of his way to pick a color I would like. Thank you Mike, I still appreciate all that you do for the guys)

As the parent of a loved one who is addicted to alcohol, I highly commend the services provided to him and to our whole family while he was a resident at Lighthouse Recovery in Dallas, Texas. Lighthouse provided a supportive environment and a treatment regimen that was individually tailored to his needs, his strengths, and his weaknesses. Even when he suffered setbacks, the staff continued to provide structure, support, and encouragement to succeed. During his time at Lighthouse, his case manager, Michael, provided regular updates on his progress in weekly phone calls to us family members, and he was always accessible when we had questions or concerns. Even when my son chose to leave Lighthouse so that he could resume drinking, the Lighthouse staff stayed in touch with him every day to make sure he was safe, and they eventually were able to persuade him to enter a long-term rehab program.
