Beautiful for a hospital. Many friendly people working here. Excellent cafeteria. And I need to give a huge shout out to Labor and Delivery! What a great team of nurses and staff in Labor and Delivery! Kind patient and were very knowledgeable. Big rooms, and the baby rooms in with the mom which I loved! The only odd thing was we saw an uncapped syringe in the parking structure. Otherwise a beautiful hospital where the care is far above standard.

Have always been a Hoag fan.....but....went to ER with severe lower back pain on 2/25/20 - PA attended, diagnosed as muscular despite the intense pain I was experiencing; reluctantly OK'd back x-ray, said no issues - gave me Percocet, Muscle Relaxer, Ibuprofen, Steroid 5-day.....said NO NEED for MRI, even though we suggested. Something didn't seem right; went to my orthopod / spine doc for follow up....more x-rays, MRI - severely herniated disc (so much for muscular)....considering choices - maybe surgery...hmmmmSo disappointed Hoag......my daughter was born there and you did a great job, we have donated to Hoag Foundation......you are not what you used to be....

Hoag far exceeds its impeccable reputation in every way. Not bad ocean view rooms either! Excellent doctors, nurses, staff, and food. The only negatives are one of the employees stole my new Vineyard Vine belt and socks-- never worn. Occasionally, a few of the patients brought a vibe of the movie, "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest",
