I will forever love and be grateful for the people at chestnut. I left in April of 2021 and have been clean since. I'm so thankful for my time there.

I recently detoxed from fentanyl Patches that where medically prescribed on 1-27-17 - 2-1-2017 at this site. They did a great job at making sure you had the proper medications to detox with and checked your vitals regularly.

Had to click one star to be able to write a review but ZERO STARS are more appropriate!!! Please look elsewhere if you need treatment. The staff is full of people that truly could care less about you, your addiction, or even the bare minimum of the work they are there to do. I actually personally witnessed and was inadvertantly involved in two cases of gross violations of other patients privacy rights and am trying to secure a lawyer for to get those two staff members fired. Not to mention the fact that while I was there voluntarily I contracted head lice from doing my laundry in that nasty nasty place.

I was a client with a mental health crisis & I stayed @ the location on Martin Luther King Dr in Bloomington,IL. I stayed for 10 days. I had exceptional care. The staff were wonderful- compassionate, skilled, efficient & so helpful. They gave me the tools I needed to recover. The unit was safe & in excellent physical condition. My family were treated with the utmost respect. I highly recommend the unit.

This is a tragedy. People come here to seek help. I took a loved one here for help today and sat in the lobby for about 3hrs. I had to go ask how long will it be til we get an assessment done. I was told they are short staffed. I have seen so many employees with badges walk through there and all you could tell me is that you are short staffed?? Ok, so why didn’t you let me know that you may or may not have anyone to administer an assessment. I wasted time and it’s unfortunate that it takes this long to receive help. Please do better for all the people. Your staff spent their time discussing patient records which is a huge issue. Please do better. The women there have nasty attitudes. The bald receptionist was the only help we received.

The most dysfunctional clinic I've ever experienced. I see they make an effort to comment generically on every review, requesting more feedback, but clearly nothing is being done about the literally spelled out complaints. They're all continuing to be problems dear reader of these reviews. One example, a refill attempt of mine: I have been, and currently are, attempting to have one filled for 3 weeks now. Its been sent to 4 different pharmacies which I was assured had my script filled, including the one INSIDE the clinic. All have been wild goose chases because when I get there im told a different script was requested from the one sent in and they dont have it in stock. Why is it so hard to verify availability before directing a patient to said location? I could continue on about the lack of call backs, and nurses with attitudes but this is just a review. No, I don't reccomend their clinical product, experience has been consistently inept at facilitating to keep me healthy and the care is desperately lacking due to understaffing.
