Founded in 1972, Long Beach Island Community Center, Inc. (LBICC), known as St. Francis Community Center, offers a wide variety of services and programs aimed at meeting the needs of residents of Ocean County, regardless of age, race, gender, nationality, religious affiliation, handicapping condition or socioeconomic status. Services offered include: Preschool; Senior Center; Aquatic Center; Counseling Center; Family Support Services, Youth Program; Educational Support Services; Recreation Program; Volunteer Program and many Special Events. The Center’s facilities include: A regulation gymnasium; competition-size indoor pool; and two heated outdoor pools.

Volunteering is a Community Tradition at St. Francis
Each year, over 1,100 people volunteer countless hours of service in order to help others.
Our volunteers make things happen throughout our community and inspire all of us with their compassion, energy, enthusiasm and stamina.
Volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas: Youth Basketball Coaches, Poster & Brochure Distribution,Festival of the Sea,
18 Mile Run, Super Plunge Sunday, Special Events, Senior Services & Human Concerns.
