Go to meetings, work the steps with a sponsor, find a home group, get a service commitment. Many people relapse, but not many of them come back right away. You should feel proud that you are back in the program. There are a million saying and suggestions for how to avoid relapse.Some that have helped me are to avoid tempting situations, do whatever my sponsor says, surround yourself with sober people, don’t get complacent, stay healthy (exercise, eat right, sleep), and be kind to yourself. I have found the phrase “don’t pick up no matter what” especially useful as I tend to overthink things.
