I spoke with somebody on the phone who refused to give any general information about what services CSO can provide. They seemed to think I was asking for someone’s private medical information, because I called on behalf of somebody else who didn’t currently have access to a phone who wanted general information about the facility. They were extremely dismissive and condescending. I gently attempted to rephrase my question so that they would stop insisting I was trying to get a patient’s private medical info (again, I was trying to get a very general answer of what a person can expect from CSO services because the website did not have much information. I don’t even know any patients there). You would think people who are working in a mental health crisis facility would have more empathy, patience, and knowledge in this field. The entire interaction was extremely frustrating and I am completely unsurprised by the poor reviews.
